Writer's Block: Snow chic. [Dec. 13th, 2010|03:53 pm]

What’s your favorite way to stay looking chic in winter?

I've never been a muslim or a woman, so I've never been a "chic," no matter which way you mean it.

I have had an incredible amount of bizarre dreams lately. And I mean bizarre by dream standards, not normal standards. I might need to start writing them down, if just so I can look back on them and be reminded how crazy I am.

Writer's Block: Touch-Screen Pros & Cons [Sep. 17th, 2009|07:55 pm]

How could touch-screen technology enhance the way you currently use your PC? How could it make things worse?
A touch-screen is like a woman: touching it leads to corruption of the soul. Or that's what my guru said anyway. No need to test it out, I trust him.

I pity those who have never dreamed in color.

Give em hell in 2012? [Jun. 7th, 2009|02:58 pm]

If anything does happen in 2012, it won't be because we all sat back in fear and awe, fawning at the approach of eternity. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a massive man-made event. People who believe strongly in something etheral aren't likely to let the fact that God ignored their special date stop them from stepping into his place.

We've all seen the books/blogs/rants about how some nebulous, evil, and powerful force (government, Cews, Christians, corporations, Masons, etc) has taken control of something (government, The Presidency, The Banks, life itself, blah blah blah), and most importantly HOW TO TAKE IT BACK. There's one problem: none of those things ever actually belonged to us in the first place. So how exactly are we going to take them BACK? The concept of universal ownership and equality is fairly modern. As are all the institutions that have supposedly been stolen from us. TAKING them is one thing, but preaching about reviving the right of ownership to something you never had in the first place is doomed to failure.

The God Confusion [Jun. 2nd, 2009|06:40 pm]

I was reading an article about religion vs atheism in Newsweek today, where the writer/religion editor for the the magazine reference a poll that said the majority of Americans believe in a "personal" god as opposed to an "impersonal" god. If you think those categories are a little vague and need clarification, you're not alone; the writer felt the same way.

But frankly I think the question is a little off base. Shouldn't the question, the theological pivot point when talking about divinity, be something more like this: "Do you believe that God is in a part of you, or do you believe you are a part of God?"
